• The standard HPDC-alloys used today (AlSi9Cu3, AlSi10Mg etc) are not suitable for Rheocasting. Instead it is recommended to use alloys where the silicon content is in the range of 5-7 %. These alloys have a significantly better flow behavior (less cold flow problems) and a better feedability (less porosity in massive sections).
